Applegarth is a charming Black and White Grade II listed terraced cottage situated in the centre of Cleobury Mortimer, a very pretty little town in South Shropshire, bordering with Worcestershire.
It consists of three floors, seamlessly combining original wall and ceiling beams and wooden floors with beautiful contemporary furnishings. One second floor super king-size double bedroom.
Second floor bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC. First floor kitchen. First floor sitting room (with a sumptious red leather corner sofa) with dining area, perfect for romantic suppers. Ground floor hallway, utility room and storage with access to the rear yard.
Electric wall heaters. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, TV with Freeview, selection of books and games. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent.
It’s a great base for some of the area’s leading attractions including the Severn Valley Steam Railway, the Wyre Forest, the glorious romantic ruin of Witley Court (English Heritage) and its famous baroque Church, Hartlebury Castle and Burford Gardens. It is ideally situated for visiting charming towns and villages such as Much Wenlock, Ludlow, Tenbury Wells and Shrewsbury. With the attractions of Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Mid Wales all accessible, this is a perfect accommodation for a romantic break at any time of year.

Stair gates are provided for the tops and bottoms of both staircases.
One well behaved dog by arrangement. If you are staying in Applegarth with your dog there are just a few basic rules :
1) Do not leave your dog unaccompanied either in Applegarth or the back yard.
2) Please clean up and sensibly dispose of any messes your dog makes, either in the back yard or in the town.
3) Please do not allow your dog upstairs into the bedroom.
4) We can provide a very large dog cage should you want to use it.
Roadside parking on first come, first served basis, or free parking in nearby town car park, secure storage for bicycles inside in the hallway.
We have a strict No Smoking policy in Applegarth.
Bed linen is included, all 100% cotton with good thread count, towels are available too.
The property must be left in a clean and tidy condition. Guests will be responsible for any breakages and damage to the contents or fabric of the building. Settlement for any damage to be made prior to departure.
Please note: You need to book early for specific events such as the Ludlow Festival, the Ludlow Food Festival, Vintage Motorbike Show in Cleobury Mortimer, and the Three Counties Show in Malvern.
Public Transport, pubs and restaurants, bakeries, cafes and grocery shops are right on the doorstep.
Walks and cycle routes in all directions.
There is a beautician just beside the property (call 01299-271800 for appointments). Also Cleobury Chiropractic (www.notjustaboutbackpain.com). Red Hare is a great hairdressers (call 01299-270702 for appointments. If you are looking for a super butchers, Bowketts is right next to Red Hare (01299-271798). John Hands, just next to Bowketts, does a great job with his printing equipment, also transferring cassettes and video tapes to cd’s and dvd’s. (tel. 01299-272757).
The nearest railway station is Ludlow.
Waitrose, Sainsbury’s and Tesco do deliver Online Shopping to this address.
No charge for under 2’s in a travel cot which we can set up but no bedding/linen provided.
The number of guests staying in Applegarth must not exceed the agreed number.
Short Breaks during off-peak season possible. Min. 3 nights, from £180.
Short breaks during mid and high season as ‘late requests’ only – rates at the time of enquiry.
Discount available for multiple consecutive weeks of 3 or more.
The deposit is non-returnable and will be required when booking.
If booking within six weeks of the holiday the total holiday cost will be required up front.
Short breaks to be paid in full on booking.
The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable at least six weeks prior to arrival.
We recommend Holiday Cancellation Insurance as refunds can only be made if we are able to re-let that period.
Weekly bookings run from Friday to Friday. Applegarth will be available from 4.00 pm on the day of arrival (or earlier by prior arrangement) and must be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure.
Payments may be made using Cash, Paypal, BACs or by cheque if there is enough time for clearance. Please enquire.
