Caer Caradoc is an impressive 1,506ft (459 m) hill located close to Church Stretton. Popular with walkers, the summit offers spectacular views over the town and the Shropshire countryside. The summit also includes the remains of an ancient hillfort, associated with the legendary first century AD Welsh chieftain Caractacus.
The hill can be climbed from Church Stretton town but a more gentle ascent can be made from the village of Cardington, which lies two miles to the east.
