Ellesmere

A traditional market town with a mix of Tudor, Georgian and Victorian buildings. Main attractions are the Mere with its Visitor Centre and the Llangollen Canal.

The Mere is one of a series of small lakes in the district, often know as “Shropshire’s Lakeland”.

Bordering the Mere are the Cremorne Gardens with children’s play area and boat hire.

There are plenty of walks in the area that will take you right along the Mere side or through the local nature reserve to the canal and on to Colemere Country Park.
