Dating back to Saxon times, Shrewsbury Castle stands on a hill overlooking the River Severn.
The castle has undergone several transformations during its long history but today houses the spectacular collections of the Shropshire Regimental Museum Trust (Soldiers of Shropshire Museum) including pictures, uniforms, medals, weapons and other equipment from the 18th Century to the present day.
The Castle is a popular venue for events and civil ceremonies, with the grounds providing a lovely setting for photography.
